1. What is behind the company’s name?

I am influenced and had an extreme interest in the retro culture of the 40′s 50′s pinup and burlesque. “Lucky Doll ” is inspired by the pinup girls in the 40′s and 50′s, Girls are called as Dolls, because  women were glamorous that time, looking good classy and sexy all the time is part of the culture.

Lucky is a term widely used as well, you’ll often see them in sailor’s tattoos, brands. and somehow i thought Lucky Doll when combined together has this strong and unique  appeal that is perfect for my intimate apparel business

2. How did you start the online shopping business?

I graduated BFA but never really had the chance to work at an office as a graphic artist or get into an advertising agency, becasue i despise  having to follow rules , waking up early to go towork, to make it short i dont want  a 9-5 job. i hate being told what to do, and i hate the pressure of giving up 8 hours of my life to a cubicle or something. So i guess thats the main reason why I had to come up with something that will benefit me in terms of financial stability, and at the same time give me the luxury of time to do other stuffs I love doing like music with my band and a little bit of everything.

I used to have a couple of small business with my bestfriend, bath and body supply store and a band rehearsal studio, then  a computer shop which eventually closed down due to the strong competition brought by the sudden popularity of the computer internet rental business.

But the downfall of the internet shop is what gave me an idea on how internet has gained popularity over the years, meaning my online market is waiting, everyone is logging on now, almost everybody has an internet connection at home all, i need is to think of something to sell.

Since i love the pinup culture and i love lingerie , i started 4 years ago october 2007 selling underwears, bras and panties ,  swimsuits shapers, silicon enhancers and lots of intimate items , before getting  into selling lingerie corsets and sexy costumes in 2008 . 2009, toys for the big girls were added in the store. I was working hard to complete my shop and make it a one stop intimate shop that will help women with their needs, since there’s not too many store who sells these kind of products.


3. What would you like to say to potential buyers or clients?

That the store is not trying too hard to get noticed, I seldom have time to work on my advertising, marketing and promotion, becasue i  do most of the chores in this business, im very hands on, at everything and chose it to be that way to personally serve people.

but the products speaks for themselves. the service I give as a hands on owner and my dedication to give every customers value for their money is what sets Lucky Doll apart from its competitors. Affordable products, Unique products which i personally like, are the items i scout for to share with other women who have the same taste as mine,

4. What are Payment methods accepted on your site?
