Having a home of your own should be a sense of pride. Apart from getting the basics, you should set out on getting the right shelves for your precious family pictures or souvenirs from previous travels. It would be nice for guest to see a bit of your past or what collections you might have. It is not enough to have a clean area but a place which is pleasing to the eyes.
A place you should not forget is the bathroom. Hotels and restaurants are sometimes judged by how they maintain theirs. So beautify your bathroom by placing bathroom etageres. These will help organize and make it more guest friendly.
Your home is a reflection of who you are. You need not spend a fortune but spend enough to make it livable, comfortable and pleasing to be in.
