I was able to attend a few  blogger events. Several I actually declined because it’s quite far and there’s nobody to look after the hyperactive tot. There was even one when I didn’t attend but they sent me an email stating they will send me a sample instead so I can try it. I replied back and said If they want I can even hold a contest for them. They said yes and then I never heard back from them again. I never asked for a freebie but they offered and I graciously said yes then never got a reply back. I would have been okay with we changed our mind lol. Talk about professional huh.

If you do get an invite for an event, just remember the following:
1. Check the email address of the sender. If its a personal email I would suggest to be a bit cautious. Professional Pr companies send one from their website email.

2. If it’s not a company email. Check the website or product that they’re selling. If they send you an invite that means they’re doing an online campaign and it would be totally strange if they don’t have a website of their own.

3. You have a life. Invites should be sent a few days before the event. They should not be sending you an invitation a day before or something for the day itself unless they just thought of you that day or gave the reason for the late invitation.

4. Read through the invite, you have to know if you need to pay for anything when you get there or if there are conditions regarding uploading your blog post. I honestly do not want to write a positive review when I did not have a good experience during the event. But as someone who tries to see the good in everything and everyone. I do try my best.

4. If you do attend, don’t be late.

5. Wear something decent depending on the event.

6. Try to be friendly and gracious to the hosts and guests.

7. Freebies, if there are will be given in due time. If you like it all that much, wait.

8. If there’s a presentation, a speech going on. Listen. If you are allowed to ask questions or give your input, participate.  You’re there to know about the product or the event. Chatting about page ranks with other bloggers can come later.

9. Say goodbye to the host or other people you’ve met if you could once the event is done.

10. Blog about the event at least 24-48 hours after you attended it.
So there, that’s what I know from the few I attended. There should be more but I think this list would help somewhat.

See ya

Hey guys, If you haven’t gone to Manila Ocean Park then just check out the promo at one of the Groupon sites. I plan to go there on my birthday with the family so I’m definitely excited. We don’t want to go very far because its hubby’s birthday and I’m awaiting a shipment for my small err tiny business ha ha. Here’s a bit of info found on their site.

  • Tickets valid until June 23, 2011
  • Maximum of six (6) tickets per person
  • Exchange your LocalRoam coupons for tickets
  • Pick-up your tickets from the Local Roam office Mondays-Fridays (10am-6pm)

So a bit bummer that you have to pick up the tickets but if you live nearby Makati then it’s quite a good deal right?

I have an aunt who I just love terribly I remembered during my last trip to visit her that I had so much fun . I actually love her more than my mom. ( Okay don’t tell my mom about that)  We have a lot of things in common. One is talking forever and the other is online shopping. She maintains such a lovely home. She wants only the best for herself, her family and her home.

While dining under  her amazing antique gold candelabra, you would feel so relaxed yet feel like you’re out dining out in a fancy restaurant. Touching on a lot of topics of course we came about to talking about shopping.  As a woman, of course she’s a bag addict. Come on, we cannot just have enough and men cannot understand that. She bought this lovely, must have it Longchamp Shoulder Tote – Le Pliage It’s in lilac and on clearance sale. I asked her for it  but she well, of course declined ha ha. I’d have to wait for her to get tired of it I guess before she gives in to my request.

Seriously If I have as much money as her. I’d probably be shopping crazily too. I mean even her bathroom trash can has a motion sensor. It’s hands free, she’s such a neat freak. So I asked her where she gets the time to buy her stuff and she said she shops online since she saves time. She told me that even her digital thermostat was bought from the same site which is Become.com. You can even get some fantastic deals by checking out their coupons section.  Lots of payment options, quick delivery time, no need to leave your home, those were her exact words. As an online shopping addict myself. I can’t help but smile and agree.

I just got to watch Bicentennial Man on the Cartoon Network. It’s a story about a unique robot who acts like a human with compassion, friendship etc. About a quest to be declared a human being because he wanted acknowledgment and to marry the woman he loves. In the end he upgraded to become old and also experience death while getting his wish after 200 years.

Now, me I’ve always been scared of getting old. When I was younger a single wrinkle on my eye freaked me out and even made me cry. I’m scared of taking my loved ones time to take care of me when I’m too old to function properly.I always really wanted to just die young because of that.

But when I had a child. Everyday is just precious (well not all the time, almost half the time you’re on the verge of a nervous breakdown) So I just want to grow old with my husband and watch our daughter grow up. I want to be there and see her experience life. I want to be there when she cries on her first day of school, when she gets her first high grade, when she gets her own best friend, when she turns 18, when she finally knows how to answer back to mommy, when she gets married, when she becomes a mom.

I’ll be okay to just watch her till I’m old and gray till the time all I am able to do is smile. 8)

Because I have been lazy the past month. I just got around to checking my email. I was surprised to receive a letter from Globe’s  Head of Operations and Customer Support Mr. Tiangco who wanted to know regarding my experience with the Globe Gcash Card delivery {read post here)

I explained why I was not happy with the Customer service I got although I was happy with the Card because I think its a fantastic idea.

I appreciate that letter, I felt valued as a customer now.

I hope the service can and will be improved for those who want to get the card. If you still haven’t got it. You can apply now.

What you get is if you’re a regular gcash user, you can get an ATM card where you can withdraw your funds without having to go to a Gcash Remit partner. You can even customize your card by having your picture on it or your worst enemy lol. It costs 100 pesos which gets deducted from your Gcash balance. Every withdrawal costs 20 pesos. Checking of account balance costs something too I forgot though so better to check your balance on your mobie phone. To know more about it click on http://site.globe.com.ph/web/gcash/gcashcard?sid=TOvAF8uxpRcAABGDeWsAAAAQe

Till next time.  See ya

Here’s a good deal for one of the groupon sites
A 1077 stay at Mabini Mansion’s one bedroom suite.
My birthday is coming up so I’m thinking of taking the family to Manila Ocean Park because we haven’t as yet and then do overnight in an inexpensive hotel. This is what’s stated on the site.

Mabini Mansion Hotel & Residential Suites is devoid of modern sensibilities. The exterior maybe classic Manila but inside it’s all the comfort you could possibly need. Each room is fitted with the following amenities:

* – Remote Control Colored Television
* – Cable Programming
* – Hot & Cold Shower
* – Fully equipped Kitchen.
* – Telephone with IDD/NDD access and voice mail
* – Individual air-condition unit

So if you want to try it head now to Cash Cash Pinoy

I have always watched American Idol I’m used to the Paula, SImon and Randy group. Kara not so. Ellen, I’m a fan but that stint just didn’t work for me. I just watched the Season 10 episode and the first time I just watched it because I’m a Jlo fan. I turned it off after a while coz I kind of miss Simon. I know, I know I’m quite a meanie too. But well on second thought its kind of refreshing because Steven Tyler is amusing, Jlo is just beautiful and stylish. Randy is well, Randy. Talents are not as great for a kick off start for the rehashed Idol but I’d still watch out for more. Go AI!!!

I started blogging a couple of years back because I felt like it was cheaper than getting  a therapist. Writing your thoughts, anger and frustration can really help you and that’s a proven study.

A year passed by and for a few months I did not touch my blog. Then I searched around and found all about page rank, making money online etc.

So to blog well here’s how I started.

1. You get a free blogging platform like Blogger, WordPress or you can buy your own domain and hosting. Shoot me an email if you want I can refer you to a mommy who has the best rates.

2. Think about a niche or what your blog will be like. Is it going to be a personal blog, a food blog, a travel blog? Start with something you really like doing so you won’t run out of ideas or inspiration to write.

3. Sign up for Entrecard, Adgitize etc so you can get a bit of traffic to your site. See if they will approve your site. They’re really not thatstrict. Read the how to’s and you can earn by just visiting sites.

4. Sign up for a paypal account. You will need this someday because even a few dollars are something. If you want to be serious in earning online then you might even earn more than you can imagine.

5. Visit other blogs and comment so you can make friends online and in turn build a web presence. Plus you will be amazed at how many nice people you can meet on the web.

6. Submit your site to major search engines like google, yahoo, bing etc so you will be indexed.

7. Update your blog posts and don’t let it gather dust.

8. Use pictures to make your blog posts more attractive to readers. If you don’t have your own, find free to use images online.

9. Learn from the best. Read pro blogger or digital filipino.

10. Make use of social networks like twitter, facebook when you have a new blog post.

11. Once your blog has gained enough traffic and page rank you can  apply to paid to blog sites or paid links.

There’s a lot more but I think I covered much of the basics. Just blog first and then try to earn later on.

I never thought I will get married. I was cursed into being a mistress forever when I was in high school by my best friend ( seriously) So a few years ago I told her than and we did a ” break the curse” session at a Makati Ave bar.

No she’s not a witch but I think her words somehow affected my destiny. I was stuck in a rut, being a part time girlfirend to some guy I had an obsession with since I was in my twenties. Never been treated right. Was enjoying being an on call doormat when he was bored or sad or got into a fight with the girlfirend.

I had enough hence the break the curse session. Funnily it worked. A few months after that I met the husband and got married after a year.

Maybe she’s really a witch..
