I loved the Lorax mostly for the stunning visual artistry. That or I haven’t been watching much movies lately. The little one did not budge from her seat. Laughed at most parts. She actually liked the colorful trees more than the Lorax probably because they’re just too cute, you feel like you can reach out and touch them. Dr. Seuss never fails to amaze me with his stories and for it to come alive on the screen with lessons we can all learn from is just an awesome experience. Watch Lorax if you haven’t.
Bored with your patio? It seems dull right? It’s time to level up a bit and buy lights that not only brighten but gives your place a certain kind of oomph. Believe me I know, they have the most lavish outdoor lighting fixtures to choose from. The photo above has an intricate design. I chose it with my aunt and she got compliments from friends after we had it installed. Cute right?
We actually were going to only buy that but we ended up browsing and bought bathroom lighting fixtures too. If you ask me, she didn’t need any because her bathroom looked immaculate as it is. I did get surprised when it did not over do the look of the bathroom. The one she chose added a bit more of elegance if that was possible. Where they get their ideas for these rad designs, I don’t really know. They got artists there.
We doubted a bit on the delivery but it was quick and efficient. Our queries were handled properly and payment was hassle free. You get some annoying customer service sometimes but this one was at least fairly good. She’d probably go running to them for additional lighting fixtures when she gets bored. She’s a shopaholic.
Got to watch Unofficially yours with the hubby. I did have to knock his head with a shaft coupling so he could go with me lol. The movie is different, not your usual poor, romantic girl. Here’s Angel a bit jaded about life and love because of a tragic romance. There’s John Lloyd, still keeping his boy next door, no to working out looks. I did get a comment from the hubby saying JL acts really well. That made me laugh. Romantic roles are really his trademark. Angel looked gorgeous with an I couldn’t care less attitude. Friends with benefits who ended up falling in love. Not too new but it was a cute movie for a date, not too much drama, a lot of fun moments. Good enough for me.
Whitney Houston, I loved her movie when I was young. I was totally fascinated by Kevin Costner then. Quiet, brooding and a man I can depend on. I would sit on our patio furniture and imagine I’m singing “I have nothing” while looking at Kevin. Whitney Houston is such a great singer that has left too early, who wasn’t able to make a comeback. Such a waste. May her soul rest in peace.

and head on to Pennsylvania. Go look for the Purple Squirrel. The Emert Family used peanuts as bait and found this cute one in the cage. They let him go, with no tests done whatsoever to find out what made it a purple squirrel. Hey, I love the color. If I could see a purple man, I’d be amazed, or scared to death.
Interesting title right? I read the book and I loved it so when I watched the movie, a lot of stuff from the book felt like they were covered with bamboo blinds. The story is about Journalist Mikael Blomkvist’s search for a a woman missing for forty years. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is an unconventional researcher Lisbeth Salander, a hacker. They got the story right however the movie didn’t give quite the excitement than the thought provoking way the book held me. So don’t read the book first before watching the movie, it usually ruins it.
I love Cruises but I can’t afford the international one so I got the Sun Cruises Manila Bay Tour for a date with the hubby. I did not regret it we had such a great time. The food was good although I would have loved if Iced Tea was included with the meal. The crew was nice and courteous. We had the air conditioned lower deck all to ourselves so it felt like we rented a yacht.
We were given this dish below.A soup first then a slice of roast beef, fish fillet, a little bit of salad, a cup of rice and a wine glass with water lol. It wasn’t much but it tasted good enough for 188 per head.
We went to the upper deck after our meal. I was surprised to hear someone singing a love song. Sweet.I didn’t read the whole Cruises deal at Pakyaw when I bought it. It includes entertainment on board.
It was our wedding anniversary, just the two of us enjoying the view, the breeze and the music. Singers up front then there’s a bar at the end, billowy masts of white surround us. I just want to tell Sun Cruises that the table set up could be better ( I would have liked plain colored tablecloths like blue or white, the checkered blue and yellow didn’t quite fit in but that’s just me.
One staff asked how the food was. Another staff asked if we needed anything else. They were all smiling and quite friendly. The Band played sweet popular songs. Even one by Adele and one by Taylor Swift. We watched the sunset go down imagining we could go on different cruises throughout our lifetime together. Life is sweet sometimes. *)
